It is important to view the teachings of the Bible as a whole so that
the deepest understanding might be achieved. Jesus is pointing to the truth that the kingdom of God is within you. This does not mean that you are God, that would be impossible and can lead to megalomania.
God is immense so immense that our minds cannot even comprehend how
vast he is, but you are a part of God - as Jesus illuminates, “I am the vine and you are the branches.” You are connected to god. God is invisible as you suggest, you cannot see into the depths of yourself, but the energy of God is within you or your heart would stop beating and your lungs would stop breathing. I received your reply for my view against the thinking, that ultimate entity of God for which we are searching here and there is no where but in side the human itself, which enables him to his existence. You were pointing towards the heart beating which reflects the light of God existing inside a man. At the same time I found you admitting my view that thinking too much that God is within me will create an unwanted ego of power and will cause the reason for one’s total failure.
When I received your reply I just thought about myself, say before five to ten years ago, I used to stick on his on points of view and arguing for it with maximum spirit. But now situation is totally different. I never used to fall into this kind of arguments.
And in your article Pathway of peace I found your valuation of people’s reply against your earlier annoying articles. Here too I find it different. We can see Jesus, when he was only a young boy, used to argue like this with those who said to be scholars in theology. You can see relevant coatings from Bible itself towards this point.
According to me what you were pointing is not at all correct. Merely thinking of one’s heart beating and thinking that Gods presence is over there is of no use. In Hindu theology I had heard about this kind of emphasis. Jesus never showed us this point of view. Even though you were quoting some wordings from Bible in order to clarify your argument, I don’t think that it self is adequate. What you were mentioning as Jesus showed was only his last findings. In Hindu theology ‘Athman’ is leaving the body that is said to be the death. ‘Athman’ is returning back into God itself. At the ending time Jesus too find He and his father is being one, yes of course there is a resemblance of before said theology here. Otherwise, while upon his thirty three years what Jesus teaching was about the God, i.e. his father in the Heaven. Whole what he had done, whatever miracles be, he had made it clear without any doubt was only because of his fathers – God’s power, not by his own power. And your arguments or teachings or articles like this when it is contrary to the teachings of Jesus that one should close his mouth in order to obey what Jesus had taught that one should love his enemy is not going to be a right stance to be taken. It is the duty of one who had realized Jesus and what He had taught, should help the misguided one who is interpreting Jesus in a way other than what He him self exhibited.
Dear brother Jill, I don’t think that you can attain much by thinking or studying what is written in the Bible about Jesus. Once you are aware of His teachings, then you have to open your heart towards the Lord and accept the challenges of world that are coming in front of you accordingly how Jesus had shown you to overcome it through His life.
Against one of your articles, someone had made a request to you to make it clear that Mother Marry is of no importance in the Christian life. I too was thinking about Her almost like thus, at the same time not neglecting her because it was she who made it possible the birth of our Lord Jesus. But, when thinking about her, there came into me some interesting aspects. As everybody knows, she had undergone so many hurdles in order to accept the pregnancy of baby Jesus. For any woman not being married, it will be too much shameful and fearful to get pregnant, especially when thinking of the rules existed over those days. She accepted whole that only because of her love for God. Throughout her life, from the very young age of Jesus, we can find Him, avoiding her saying that he had to be engaged in his father’s duties. Materially he was totally avoiding her. For any mother, especially who given him birth after undergoing whole lot of sufferings – being getting pregnant without a man, and staying along with her said to be husband, laying her whole expectation over her child, to face an instance in which he began to tell that he has to go away in order to fulfill his fathers desires, it will be total disappointment about life. But the Gospel never says anything like this, I mean that she was suffering like thus. We can never see these kind of an argument from her any where in any of the Gospels. We can see mothers on these days, making complaints about their sons and daughters who avoid them, that whole their expectations become collapsed. We can see Mother Marry was totally different in these regards. Again to explain our God’s love over us, we used to say that He gave his lonely son, in order to remove our sins. Think about Marry, not being with godly powers, she too did the same to us. She didn’t deny his son from going behind an unseen God. She didn’t stop him when there were threats to his life from the ruling priests. She didn’t want her son to be with her in her olden age in order to protect her. She hadn’t godly powers to accept, to face the cruel situation, that her lovely son is being crucified upon the cross. She faced all that just because she was a fulfillment of love. To make a sacrifice by our self is not that much difficult. To protect our lovely children or lover, it is common that people challenges even death punishments. But to sacrifice the most loved one without least objection is nothing but divine. Great Abraham was submitting his son on the request of God itself. It was a direct interference from God’s side. So it became clear that he had no other choice but to accept God’s request. How can one deny God even for his lonely child? But in the case of Mother Marry, it was not God’s direct interference, but a normal instance which she had to undergo in her life. So her sacrifice was more severe than that of Abraham. None of the Gospels illustrates that she was exhibiting any complaints either against the Priests or directly against God who doesn’t come to help her innocent son. We can clearly see that she was totally above any character we can see in whole the Bible. So how can we under valuate the importance of Mother Marry?
In your reply I better don’t want to see a particular quoting from Bible and your argument over that. You know in Bible you can see anti statements by which one statement can be questioned. It was through this same wordings Jesus was questioned at his time. He also answered their questions by quoting another wording. So we better avoid that game and come to the point what God is wanting. If you think of what you say is the will of God to the best of your heart, then you are most welcome.

For the teaching of her Immaculate conception, please see the Offerings that God required was unblemished animals, do you seriously think that God would use a vessel which was imperfect, and stained to live for 9 months? Isn’t everything possible for God? Did he not know that Mary would accept his invitation to be the Mother? So wouldn’t he give her the grace to not only remain sinless, but to come into this world without SIN?
Can anyone remain without sinning without God’s grace?
Please also remember that if the Church has taught what it is teaching about our Mother, it is empowered by the Holy Spirit to teach, and the Holy Spirit will not lead the Church astray.

If you have a Bible with you, please turn to the Bible John 1:1, It says that “the Word was God” that WORD came to this World as a human being and named “Jesus Christ” - or “Immanuel” means God is with us. He came to this world to save you and me while we are yet sinners. The Bible says “The Wages of sin is death” Death means “Hell”. Bible teach us that “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God”. So Mr. Tareq, my friend, you have to born again. I heard that Muslims also believe that “Jesus Christ will come back to this world again” and he will reign 1000 years in this existing world. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. As all world know that the tomb of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem is kept open even now to assure us that he is no more in the grave, but resurrected. And only His grave is open till now.

Mary is not born of inmaculate birth, that is a Catholic teaching which is a draw back connected to the teaching of mother nature godesses in various pagan religions. Sorry dear but the bible does not teach this, not in the regular bibles that is. Mary (her real name was Myriam by the way) is chosen because she was the right Jewish vessel, from the right Jewish line, and yes had the right attitude in her heart but not because she was holy or any such thing. She is the same as the rest of us, redeemed by the blood of the lamb.
She is certaintly not our mother in any sense of the word and she or any of the saints are not to be adored or worshiped as God the father is very much opposed to this.We are only to worship him and Yehshua his son. We are to pray only to the father in the name of the son as Yehsua taught us to do.
Under any circunstances are we to pray to any statues or images of any kind whatsoever, at least that is what the bible teaches in many places as that is what the pagans do and God does not want to be worshiped like the pagans worship their deities.

The Bible does not teach us many other things,but it teaches us that Jesus gave his mother to John, who represents all of us, at the foot of the cross - Hence Mary in Jesus’ own words is our Mother.
And the Bible does not teach us everything, because it says clearly, that the Holy Spirit will come and guide you into all truth. The you, is not an individual, but the Body of Christ, and Apostolic Tradition teaches us to Venerate our Mother Mary. And there is a big difference in Veneration and Worship.

nobody said that Mary is of an immaculate birth. the immaculate conception was the visitation of the holy spirit on her. yes i think she is special, of all the virgins at that time, she was the favoured one. Catholics dont worship her we just give her the honor due her. we dont pray to her we ask her to join her prayers to ours to Jesus cos we know that Jesus doesnt deny her anything. remember the wedding at cana. when they ran out of wine? Mary told the servants to go to Jesus and do whatever he tells them. Jesus said when they came up to him His hour had not yet come. but he still performed his first miracle there just cos Mary directed them to him. as for the pictures and statues u think we worship, its just a reminder. its like you having the picture of your father or mother, or your husband, anyone close to you, to remember them or show your fondness of them.but let me be quick to add that Mary is not the way to salavation and all Catholics know that and whats important is having a personal relationship with God. so fear not that we are mislead we are not. personally my eyes are fixed on the prize. feel free to let me know what you think. thanks. ome

Sorry, I had to bring in Mother in this discussion, but just wanted to see, how people can talk about loving and forgiving Judas, but talk about Mary, and they are up in arms. And to think that Mother loves us all so. Just as Christians know their Scripture, and the Jews know theirs, Mother was also a devout Jew, who knew her Scriptures, and she knew all about her Son through Scriptures. She knew his purpose in this world, and yet she chose to be the vessel, was it for her own gratification, or was it that with God’s grace, she loved all of God’s creation, and knew that for mankind to be saved, the Saviour had to be born.
Mother please pray for all of us, Ask us to do what your Son tells us to do. And tell your Son there is no more Wine (Love) in us.
PLease note by asking Mary to pray for US, I am not worshipping her, it is just like telling my very own mother on earth to pray for me. And for all those who are thinking, Ah, but she is dead - Remember Our God, is the God of the Living, and not of the dead. (Was Moses Dead or Alive at the Transfiguration?)

Paul has told us correctly that love is the greatest of virtues.Christ has told us that all the laws and the prophets rest on loving God with all our hearts, soul and strength; and on loving our neighbours as ourselves. It is for us to obey and have peace.
Just think of your wife, male or female friend, child or even the person who regards himself as your enemy. Love the person in your heart. See the amount of piece you now have. This is not like putting burning fire under your bed and going to sleep. The genuine love you show to him will set into motion your protection by God who is love. Reconciliation and peace will begin to manifest. If the source of trouble decides to ignore or work against the gesture of love, that source will regret and end up in agony because he/she is fighting against God put on by the Christian in the name of love.

Read Salvador’s reply. He too is a Catholic and seems very sincere in his posts but he talks about “mother” Mary as if she was our mother, talks about immaculate conception (which is as he states correctly it is a Catholic church dogma) and to top it off talks about MARY PRAYING FOR US. Now where in a regular bible does it say that she is an intercessor ( pray for us)? Maybe the Catholic bible says that she is also an intercessor, I have not read the Catholic one in detail but I suspect you would be hard press to find that in there as well.
If you go to Latin America you will find many idolaters who do pray to Mary directly as an intermediary, even to their favorite saint. This is often pictured in Spanish movies and soap operas. Maybe among non-Hispanic Americans this is not as common but what I have witness tells me that Mary and the saints, and even the angels are seen as what in effect amounts to another intermediary between God and man.
Really, I don’t wish to debate dogma, the way I figure it God has given us his commandments, which include not putting any other gods before him (read saints, Mary, etc) and keeping HIS (not the man made) Sabbath.
Man has chosen to follow his own man-made commandments and Sabbaths instead, sugar coating them with religion of one type or another. To me it’s very clear: we are to follow what papa said plain and simple.

I think Christians have got it wrong. God said not to worship anything else, Man, beast or an idol. Now anything that takes first place in your life, becomes an idol. (i.e. your wife, children, money, riches ANYTHING - since God should always be FIRST) God never said, don’t make images, see for yourself, the tabernacle and the temple itself was full of images. And most importantly, when the snakes were biting the Israelites, causing death in the desert, God commanded Moses to make a serpent, and raise it up, that anyone who looks at it after being bitten, would not die. Did the Israelites, at that Moment consider the snake image a god? Later on, however, this serpent image, started taking an important part in their lifes and hence king Hezekiah had it destoryed.
This precisely gets back to the point, that to understand Scripture, you need to have an authority to explain it. And that authority is the Church that Christ established.
And like Dorairajan, I admit that I am not perfect, and therefore praying that God gives me the grace to be Holy as he is Holy.

I am a Messianic Jewess, of Spanish Sephardic background. I try to follow Torah as Yeshua taught it, not according to the interpretation of man which is not the same.
As to keeping the Sabbath (starts at dawn Friday and ends at dawn Saturday), I follow it and the other 7 feasts of the father (as they are all Sabbaths) according to scripture. Yes, I do not work on the Sabbath, do business on the Sabbath, or have others do so for me. Not hard to do even while living in the United States. Rabbi Shaul (I insist on calling him rabbi because that is what he was, a rabbi that studied at the feet of Gamaliel, a famous rabbi) was not “trying to keep appearances or other Jews happy. Had that been the case he would not have gone through as much as he did for the gospel. He meant business with God and followed what Torah said. He as well as Yeshua were all Torah-following Jews. What is more they never became Christians; they were Jews the way God intended for them to be from the start, before man decided to change God’s word by adding and taking away from it.
According to Isaiah 66, this is how is going to be doe when Yeshua returns and cleans up the mess man has made for once and for all.

Messianic Jews, like the first Jews that followed our Jewish Messiah Yeshua, follow the commandments of the father which he repeats many times though his prophets. There are HIS commandments and have never stopped being his and his alone. When Yeshua returns he will not do so as a Christian but as Jew, he will establish his tabernacle on earth after which the tabernacle of David had been fashioned. The feasts and Sabbaths of the father will be kept by all and the nations that do not do so will not receive any rain. This dear, is all written in most bibles. I am not sure of what omissions or additions the Catholic bible has (I’ve only read some of it) but any regular bible will do. These are in any regular bible.

And the above scripture says that the first was made Old, also remember that New wine is not put in Old skins.
Now please I know that above here I am giving my own interpretation, but that actually has been my point, that each individual can give a different meaning to each verse in scripture, and this meaning can change every time the individual reads it.
I am blessed that I have the Magisterium to guide me.

Oftentimes the two scriptures you quote are used to “prove” that the law of the Almighty is done away with. If the law was done away with we would not be here because we are here due to the unseen laws of the Almighty.
The Almighty has had the human race under grace from day one. He could have puff Adam and Eve, could have done so many other times after that but instead he chose grace for man from the fall. He showed grace by sending a ram to Abraham to die instead of Isaac; he showed grace in so many cases I would have to fill pages. He has been a God of grace from day one. Moreover, he showed grace by sending his only son to us to take our place but here is the interesting part; he and Yeshua do not live in time as we do, therefore, Yehsua’s death on the tree 2000 years ago is as if it happened right after Adam fell; as it is written, a day for the Lord is like a thousand years for man. So that invalidates the idea that “we are under grace”, “we don’t need to keep the law” because MAN HAS BEEN UNDER GRACE ALL ALONG, not just for the past 2000 years. As to the law having been done away idea, Isn’t it written that God is the same today and yesterday? Isn’t it written that he changes not? If the law is done away with why, oh why did Yeshua and his apostles kept quoting from it? Why would they quote from a dead law? Why would they keep on practicing a dead law? Yeshua’s “last supper” was the feast of Passover, he asked his disciples to prepare the Passover (not Easter or the last supper). Acts 17:1-2, talks about Paul’s USUAL practice of going to the synagogue on the Sabbath. In Acts 24:14 in speaking to other Jews Shaul (Paul) declares…”I worship the GOD OF OUR FATHERS in accordance with the Way. I continue to believe EVERYTHING that accords with the TORAH and everything written in the Prophets.” . That doesn’t sound like a very dead law to me. Furthermore, he declared himself a Pharisee in Acts 26: 5 …”they can testify that I have followed the strictest party in our religion-that is, I have lived as a Pharisee”.
More importantly, wasn’t it Yeshua himself that declared that not a yud from the law will pass away till it is all fulfilled? Mat. 5:17-19 “DON”T THINK that I have come to ABOLISH THE TORAH or the Prophets. I have come NOT TO ABOLISH but to complete. Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, NOT SO MUCH AS A YUD OR A STROKE WILL PASS FROM THE TORAH- not until everything that must happen has happened. So WHOEVER DISOBEYS THE LEAST OF THESE COMMANDMENTS AND TEACHES OTHERS TO DO SO will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven;..” In plain English (and in Spanish too if you prefer) the Master said follow the law and those who teach otherwise will be called least in the kingdom. I don’t want to be in that group, I want to please the Lord.
Furthermore, Yeshua declared in Mat. 5:21-23 “ Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord!” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, ONLY THOSE WHO DO WHAT MY FATHER IN HEAVEN WANTS. On that Day, many will say to me, “Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesied in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?”. Then I will tell them TO THEIR FACES “ I NEVER KNEW YOU! GET AWAY FROM ME! YOU WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS!”. Even after doing all these good and loving deeds Yeshua won’t know those who do not keep his father’s laws! In Mat.19:17-18, he says: “If you want to obtain eternal life, observe the mizvot (commandments)”. The man asked him, “Which ones?” and Yeshua said, Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, etc” He quoted right from the ten commandments which are very much a part of the law, the fourth one of course is to keep God’s Sabbath. In Mat.22:29, Yeshua declares” “The reason you go astray is that you are IGNORANT BOTH OF THE TANACH and of the power of God”. Hum, Yeshua is saying we get lost because we do not know the law, and man says is done away with? Hah! That sounds like a contradiction with what the Master says. Mat. 24:12, “and many people’s love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah”. Again same idea…plain and simple.
2 John 1:6 “MOREOVER, LOVE IS THIS; THAT WE SHOULD LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS COMMANDS. THIS IS THE COMMAND, AS YOU PEOPLE HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING; LIVE BY IT!. Hello the apostle is talking to Israel who has heard the commandments from the start. That does not sound like doing away with the law, but on the contrary, an exhortation to keep it!
1Tim.1:8 “We know that the Torah IS GOOD, provided one uses it in the way the Torah itself intends”. Hey that says the Torah is good!! The problem was man misused it. All of God’s scripture has been declared good and that very much includes the law my brother, do not be deceived into thinking it is done away with. Man says this but with the next breath they pick and choose laws that are convenient such as the ones pertaining to tithing. God is not a pick and choose God, you can’t just pick and choose.

He is telling the new Messianic converts not to let their PAGAN neighbors judge them because they no longer keep the pagan set apart days (such as December 25), no longer eat pork and shell fish but instead keep Yah’s Sabbaths and feasts, including the new moon, and stay away from tameh (unclean) food. How the tables have been changed!!

The Torah is not to be lived just for the sake of the Torah; of the written word. It is not just an idle exercise, it means nothing if you don’t know or understand the spirit behind the words or he who inspired the words. The letter in and out of itself kills, it is indeed the ruach (Spirit) who gives it life.
You also quoted: Heb 8:13” In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” In verses 5-12 of the same passage he is quoting directly from the First Testament (the so called “Old” Testament). Read it carefully brother, he is talking about the covenant made with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL when TORAH (THAT IS, THE LAW) will be put in the hearts of the believers.
Dear, the church was not established 1500 years ago. The kehilat, which is the correct word used by Judeans like Yeshua and the apostles was actually established with ISRAEL and the foreigners that were with her at the foot of the mount when the commandments were given to Moshe. That also is the word used in many passages, which many bibles correctly translate as assembly or congregation. This of course would correspond to the Messianic congregations established by Yeshua and the apostles 2000 years ago. By the year 70Current Era there were many such congregations. Rome did a lot of damage as they were used as an instrument of Satan to attack God’s chosen because God’s seed was planted among his chosen people and his laws were originally given to Israel, who continues to be the apple of God’s eyes. The “Roman church” that was formed later very much functioned as a political entity to control the masses. This too my brother is history.
I am afraid your Magisterium is guiding you all right, but not toward the light. It is just another book written by man changing the word of the Almighty, not much different than the Talmud, which as it appears to be the case with the Magisterium, it concludes its word to be above the bible. The Magisterium is a man made book same as the Talmud and the Koran, and it is all a testimony to the vanity of man.

When Catholics talk about the Law having been done with, we refer to the Law as laid down by moses Deut 13:9.
Catholics still follow the TEN commandments - which are simply encompassed in the Two, of Loving God and Loving your neighbor.
I wonder, what are the Sin offerings that you offer, and at which temple do you offer them.
For Christians, Christ was the SIN offering, One sacrifice, eternally pleasing to God, and which is everlasting.
For Catholics, the Eucharist is the Bread that comes down from Heaven - of which Paul talks about not receiving unworthily - and which Christ said - “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you do not have life in you”
We Catholics eat this bread and drink this blood.

Deuteronomy 13:9 deals with killing those who break the law. It does not say THE LAW ITSELF is bad or done away with. Yes, I agree and I mentioned on another post, that the law that was hung on the tree with Yeshua’s death is the law of death as a result of sins. This however in no way does away with God’s law. God uses his prophets repeatedly to affirm HIS law, HIS Sabbaths and feasts. These laws include the dietary law which, as it says in Isaiah 66:17, after Yehsua’s second coming God will still see those who eat pig in the same way as those who eat mice. Interestingly, in the same chapter, verses 2-3, has some words about those who bless an idol.
Something that should be clarified is that some laws were only for men, some for women, some for priests, and of course many involved the temple. There remains some laws that seem to be of great importance to the Almighty, chiefly the Sabbath, feasts and dietary laws. How do we know this? God had his prophets talk about it a lot and we see Yeshua and his apostles keeping them as well. In addition, as I already pointed out, Yeshua himself affirms the validity of the law with his own words.
As you know, there is no temple since it was destroyed in 70 CE. Up to that point the apostles and early believers, the majority of which were Jews, still frequented the temple. Since you asked about this, Do Catholics observe the commandment about keeping God’s Sabbath or do they observe the Roman Sabbath? Do Catholics observe God’s seven appointment times or feasts or do they observe those given by Rome? If you believe in the 10 commandments but do not keep the Sabbath then you consistently break the 4th one. If you do not keep God’s Sabbath and feasts then you are not showing that you love him with all your heart as Yehsua said we should because to love God is to try our best to please him, to obey him.
During Yeshua’s last Passover meal Yeshua ratified the new covenant made with the Jews. In Jewish practice during a covenant an animal (or animals) were killed( blood poured ) and broken in half, then the people involved in the covenant walked between the parts (that is what Yah did for Abraham when he made the covenant with Abraham after he induced him into a deep sleep). Yeshua’s blood shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins is that poured blood. During the last Passover Yehsua observed he said “I will not celebrate it again until it is given its full meaning in the Kingdom of God”. (Luke 21:26). So yes, we will have Passover again with Yeshua in the Kingdom of God, but wait, Passover is the first of the seven feasts or appointment times of God. Why would Yeshua say he is going to do it again in the future? Could it be …that we are in effect supposed to still celebrate Passover as Yeshua did and as he says he will do again? Passover takes place 14 days after the start of God’s new year in the month of Abib (or Nissan) and it was established by God back in Egypt. One of the reasons the Romans established easter, Christmas and THEIR Sabbath was to substitute what they perceived as Jewish on different days while still giving them a “Christian-like” appearance.

To quote a friend’s recent statement:”Not walking Torah is cold love according to Yeshua. Having Torah/Law is Love. It is very clear. There are no specifications to this whether it is Jew or Gentile- just doing what is right, true, and given to us as His people. We have a society, on one hand, that is becoming less and less obedient to His Torah/Word. This is not secular society I am talking about either. I am talking about believers in the Messiah. People are denying the very Word that is spoken and the world comes into being. They are rejecting the main body of prophecy that speaks of Messiah birth,teachings,death, and resurrection. They are rejecting Yeshua the King of the Jews. On the other hand the opposite is happening and the light of Messiah is drawing all men unto Himself. Sadly, you are only following the Torah (OT) and sometimes referring to Saul/Jesus in the NT, that is agreeing with your views.
Right in the begining, in the Acts, we have Peter explaining why he dined with gentiles - Remember the vision he had of a white sheet being lowered from Heaven, with all kinds of animals, (unclean as per Torah) and Peter was asked to eat, and when Peter said that he would not touch anything unclean, he heard a voice telling him ‘Not to call unclean, the things that God has made clean’ - All things are made NEW, by Christ.
Very obvious in our dialogue that I cannot convince you, and for that matter my dear, neither can you convince me. I will stick to my FAITH, which I believe is TRUE - and even if an Angel comes down and tells me something different - I will not believe it, the scripture tells me this.
I believe, that when Christ from the cross said it is accompolished, he meant the salvation of mankind, apart from the law was completed according to God’s plan. because if the Law was good enough for mankind to be saved, it was unnecessary for Christ to come down to die for us.

Sadly man tends to show tribalism in its thinking and that often creates a block when it comes to understanding and following God. Only the Ruach, (Holy Spirit) can bring revelation of scriptures.
If you read the entire chapter regarding Peter and the food, you will see it has NOTHING TO DO with eating unclean food. This whole passage deals with the Judean custom of Jews not eating with gentiles which were regarded as pagan dogs. In this particular case it involved a God fearer and thus it is that God is in essence asking Peter to step out of his tribalistic notions and go ahead and sit at the table with him. Unfortunately, many in the gentile church do not understand Jewish customs of the time. You can’t read the New Testament through Greek or Roman sunglasses because it is in essence a Jewish book with a deep Jewish flavor.
The law dear is not completed, fulfilled in the Greek language does not mean done away but filled as in filling up a glass of water. The law was not intended to save mankind because no man can really keep it 100%, except Messiah. One can try and point one’s steps toward wanting to do the father’s will but we know that we all fall short. In reality the law points at Yeshua and the need of Messiah to come to die for us. Messiah showed us how to keep the law; he did not showe us by example nor once told us to ignore the father’s laws. Still, if you refuse to keep God’s Sabbath’s and God’s feasts even with all the scriptures written about doing so, including the ten commandments, then it is your decision to do so, I can only pray for fresh revelation for you.

The issue of how I keep the law was brought up by dear brother Salvador and as many are under the impression that keeping the law is a heavy burden let me clarify how easy it really is. As Yeshua said my burden is light. Already the gentile church is keeping many laws, some of which are man made; all the church needs to do is switch back from the man-made laws to God’s laws. Instead of keeping 9 commandments, keep all ten; instead of keeping the Roman-imposed Sabbath, keep God’s Sabbath; instead of keeping Roman imposed holidays such as Christmas and Easter, keep God’s feasts; instead of eating any kind of food such as pork and shell fish (which scientist will tell you are no good for you anyhow) eat according to God’s way. Now is that so hard? That is what I do, that my friends is keeping the law. Already man has kept laws such as not having sexual relations during a woman’s time of the month, or (this one is no longer kept for the most part) women staying at home for certain number of days after birthing a child. Without a temple there really aren’t that many laws to keep, and even with the temple the Messianic community or followers of the way didn’t seem to be burdened.
Already the church keeps many except for the big ones: not keeping God’s Sabbath and feasts. These I call the big ones because the Sabbath is one of the Ten Commandments, and as I explained before, the feasts are also considered Sabbaths. The Sabbath is the set apart sign that God has given his people Israel and by being grafted into the olive tree thus it should be the set apart sign for the church as well. In the 4th century Rome effectively robbed the church of its blessings and it is due time the church reclaims those blessings and it goes back to its roots. The church must repent, that is change, before this can happen, this my friends will be a true revival from the death blow Rome gave the church in the Councils of Nicea. Wake up church!

This is the first time I am sending a mail to you. Here I have a special request. Mr. Ajith P Varghese, my cousin brother, who lost his christian faith five years back and he married a muslim girl when he was in India.
Ours is acatholic family concreted in good faith in Jesus christ. His father is an ex-semnarian. Two of his uncles are catholic priests. 5 out of 6 aunts are nuns. We have attended the catechism classes and he had baptised, received the Holy Communion and got Confirmation. Now he is around 32 years.
I do not know how is it happened. I was just praying for him to come back to his life in Jesus. I have never got chance to speak to him even through telephone. I am working in Dubai, and he was in India. I never stopped my prayers. As a result of our prayers, Jesus has took him to Dubai. I got his tel. number and I brought him to my home. Not I, Jesus brought him to my home. Praise the Lord. But I never spoke to him about his current faith. May God bless us to lead a model christian life. I hope Jesus will take care of him and his family. I believe Jesus has touched him. Let us continue our prayers for him to return to lead a true christian life. May God bless the whole human community.
