What do you Trust?

Jesus says, “The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.”
(John 12:35)

Light of GodFor weeks now I have been wondering what to do with this blog. Is it really serving you? Is it helping you to see the deepest Truth that Jesus is eternally pointing you toward? Certainly, there is a prevalent fear of false prophets, false teachers, false leaders, and the great fear that the end of the world is near. In contemplating this the question arose, ‘What do you trust?” Can your thoughts be trusted? Your feelings? Can people be trusted? And a deeper question arises, “What can always be trusted?” Certainly if you are in the dark, if you are ignorant of truth, ignorant of the freedom, ignorant of the peace that surpasses all understanding, you are like a man walking in the darkness not knowing where you are going.

Jesus continues, “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.” (John 12:35) Where is this light? What is this light? What is the nature of light? Emotions change. Feelings change. People, places and things in your life are in constant flux, constant change. Life itself is a continuum of change, but what is it that never changes? What is always present regardless of your circumstances, your emotions, your wealth or your poverty, your tears or your laughter, your health or your sickness? Stop for a moment and ask yourself, “What do I trust? What is present when I am happy and when I am sad?” What is always present that can always be trusted?

    Dear Jill,
please do not allow frustration to make you question your very noble and true intentions when you started your very valuable and inspirational ‘blog’.
Please allow your readers, that is me, time to absorb and consider what you pass to us thrugh your blogs and into our everyday experiences.
For me, what is light (Light) is awakening to the Lord’s teachings - awakening to His wisdom - His Light.
Therefore we come out of the darkness of ignorance, frustration, despair, worry and deep depression - which took us into the drkness in the first place.
I read your blogs very often although I may not leave a comment or an added comment. I do like to read other readers’ comments because, whether they are positive or negative reactions, there is always a human lesson to learn - tolerance, forgiveness and unconditional love - you know the ‘love thy neighbour’ teaching of the Lord.
I am sure this is a great burden on your shoulders, but His work is LIGHT, but never light! He knows you can bear this cross and you do so very well. He is with you always in this, your work.
I, for one, will miss your blogs and your readers’ comments.
For me, wisdom comes in small phrases, not in great works.
I pray that the Lord will continue to give you the strength to carry on His great work as you are doing so successfully, You Make us aware and therefore awaken us to the Truth.
May you always live in His Light and may you be strong in your Trust in the good work He has given you to do, on His behalf.
    Love and Light always
    Starina

  6. Charles says:

    Dearest Jill,
Do not expect rewards on earth. You must believe and trust yourself in order to find light. You are a candle Jill, situated on a high place for others to receive light, keep it well lit.
We maintain our body so the soul live within, and that’s darkness. Our effort it should be the other way round and that’s the real light. When the soul is capable of rejecting all flesh desires ,idols, pleasures of all the senses, and live within the spirit ,the flesh will become useless for the soul and that’s the truth.LIGHT IS IN THE SPIRIT, and it will make the soul free while still in this material world, and live within the light of the spirit.
This world is a huge lie, unless we reject it,we’ll never find the light.

True Love and trust in your light Jill

    GOD bless all of you
    Charles

    Dearest Charles,

Yes, the world is an illusion, as you say ‘a huge lie.’ It has been a difficult time as well as an enlightening time in my life. It is a time of really letting go and trusting deeply in the Light.

Thank you for your Love and Support!

    Deep Love to you…

very nice blog. i also agree with the fact that you write about the false prophets that Jesus warned us about. i talked about that in my most recent blog myself http://www.todaystruthwriter.com/2010/07/08/undercover-christian-do-you-know-him-today.html and i even had to name some of the false teachers and prophets. they must be exposed because they hide like roaches in the darkness from the light of Gods Word. may Gods grace be on all your writing.

  11. Bill Fabian says:

What is the light? The disciple Jesus loved answer that for us. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:1-5)) Jesus is the Light. Sons of Light are those who put their faith in Christ. Jesus Christ is the answer to all your questions.

  12. Jill Warner says:

    Dearest Bill,

What comes before the Word and is contained in the Word?

When you know who you are, when you look deeply into your Heart. Then, and only then, will you know that you are a Son of Light and that you have always been That endlessness.

As Jesus illuminates, “You are the Light of the World.” Can you find an end to Light? Look and see!

In This endlessness true wisdom arises of it’s own accord.

    In Love and Peace
    Yours in this endlessness
    Love
    Jill
