Stop Breathe Deep and Love
Jesus says, “Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your Mind.” (Matthew 22:37)
Some of you have expressed concern that I am using the word ‘Satsang’ to describe the Global Conference Call scheduled for next Sunday, March 9th at 9AM USA Pacific Time. Satsang means association with Truth. It is a conversation held in the highest Truth, a conversation with the sole purpose of directing your attention into the deepest inquiry. The conference calls that I am offering you are not casual conversations. The purpose for using the word satsang is to inform you that I take our conversations seriously, I take this blog very seriously, I take you and your life very seriously and I want to make sure you understand that these are not casual conversations. Also, using the word satsang honors Ramana Marharshi as well as my beloved teacher Gangaji, whose endless love and support helps people around the world discover the deepest Truth directly, intimately, for themselves. Without the support of Gangaji and my direct experience with the profound revelations that self-inquiry offers, this blog and the global conference call next Sunday simply would not be possible.
Jesus says, “Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your Mind.” (Matthew 22:37) How can you possibly love This much unless you are Love? The satsang next Sunday will focus this core teaching of Jesus—Love. What is Love? Where is Love? Who is Love? Simply, very simply, Love is like your breath it is an essential aspect of Life. If you are like me you take breathing for granted, but that was not the case for Eva Markvoort. Last month she wrote on her globally recognized blog, “i can’t breathe every hour once an hour, i can’t breathe…” Two days later on March 27th, 2010 Eva died of cystic fibrosis, a hereditary lung disease—she was only 25 years old. Her story touched me so deeply, I wanted to share it with you. Eva’s story of the very essence of life, a poignant reminder to us all to stop, really stop, breathe deep and Love—it really helps put the everyday circumstances of your life into perspective. A few days before her death Eva shared her last moments with her online community, family, and friends in a YouTube video. Her message is a profound message of love, love, love… How can her sublime message help you understand the teaching of Jesus on an even deeper level?
“Hello to the world at large. To my blog, to my readers, to my friends, to everyone. I have some news today that is kinda tough to hear, but I can say it with a smile, because it is not something that I am sad about.”
“This is the end. My life is ending. And my family is here and my friends are here and we are sharing good memories and laughing and [remembering] all the special times we had together and I just wanted to tell you guys so you are not in the dark with this.”
“I love everyone so much. And that is what I am spending mytime right now doing – just loving—loving, loving, loving. Loving my family, loving my friends, loving my loves, and loving you guys. Just know that is how I am spending my time—Loving.”
“And I think that I am very lucky because I have loved more than you could possibly think, than you can possibly imagine, than you can possibly love, so I am celebrating that, celebrating all the love I have had in my life. There is a quote [A quote from our favorite movie Moulin Rouge]—‘The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.’ There is no shortage of love and we are celebrating in that love….”
“So this is the end of my life, but it is not the end of my Love, that’s pretty cool… I only have a couple of days left…if you have any messages for me send them now and I will get them before I go. Okay?”
“I love you all. I love everyone…….Just Love everyone.”
Jesus says, “Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your Mind. And Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-38) How is this possible unless you are Love itself?
Simply, very simply, you are Love. There are no words to describe this endlessness and you have the power right now in this moment to discover the Truth of this by simply stopping and turning your attention to the Love that is in your heart. This love is eternal—you are that eternity!
Truly, deeply, ‘The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.’ Is this not the very essence of what Jesus teaches?
Stop—Breathe Deep and Love. Unless you stop and inquire into the depths of your own heart the idea that you are the most sublime Love will remain an idea—it will not be recognized as the Living Truth of who you are!
Please do not take your life for granted, breathing for granted, love for granted. Your breath, your life is the most precious gift of God.
Are you willing to Stop, Breathe Deep, and Love as Love?

Charles says:
Dearest Jill,
Maximum Perfect Love can only be expressed and measured through action give, give, and give and never expect anything in return so when it comes you will be trilled.
John 3:35 The Father loves the Son: and he had given all things into his hand.
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you
John 15: 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
The above are three definitions for love through Jesus Christ. Referring to the first one. John 3:35 He is stating that the Father gave everything to his Son as proof that He loves his Son entirely. His Son imitated his father and did the same when through his Father’s power, He created the first angel Lucifer as an image of him in every sense, he created him a god like him to show him his love, but since this particular angel although he was aware of God, he never saw Him, and was the first and only created visible god, realized how independent and powerful he was, and without being aware of, that he was doing everything through his creator, he became his enemy. That’s what he’s referring in Matthew 10: 25 It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub,c how much more the members of his household! So Lucifer, received the maximum love and in return he gave the maximum evil to that person whom he acquired it from. God confirmed his omnipotence true love by allowed him to live within his free will, in order that through him, John 1: The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. no matter how and when since time doesn’t count for God, not only achieve His divine plan, but even still persuade him to return to him and ask for forgiveness, believing that Devine Mercy is the most powerful virtue. Revelation 1:18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. So Jesus only has authority over Hell, and he only can change the rules, as He feels fit. According to Matthew 5:44 We should love our enemies. So Jesus is referring to that particular moment when Lucifer rebelled against who loved him profoundly, and I myself believe that God from that moment started to persuade Lucifer and that he is still loved. The parable of the prodigal son.Luke 15: 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. It is clear that he is referring to Lucifer.
He is also explaining that we should look at our enemies not according to the action of the flesh but through what’s behind that flesh which is spirit, and that spirit is a slave within the flesh, locked till death . These two elements are enemies, and if we don’t put Jesus between us and our enemies, and walk through the narrow gate, we are forced to act according to the flesh which is through the wide gate. Who in the world is ready to demonstrate this kind of love on Earth unless he’s ready to suffer all consequences? with the exception of great people, like King and others.
So if we want to demonstrate the utmost of our love is to live in love through our action not words , give everything, all kind of charity no matter what, all the time possible, charity is a vast virtue. Through this blog we all are being charitable since there are people who needs to learn, know, or to be comforted. We today are living to own, to own and to own even more, and still we don’t have enough never mind giving , and if we do give, we give that bit which is insignificant to what we possess. Remembering St Francis just now, when he was on his way and met a poor man and gave him all he had, and his mate protested for doing so. Honestly speaking if we really want to feel the real love within us, we should sacrifice and suffer when giving, like Mother Theresa ,and Like what Jesus did on the cross. We are living in a huge lie, like we are not leaving this world, and with the mentality like that the more we possess the more we remain even longer, madness. I concluded that we don’t believe in Charity, and we don’t practice it in it’s simple way, which for Jesus is fundamental. When something happen like Haiti we act spontaneously and fully, but that’s something like light shines out of darkness, as proof that we are not doing anything to prevent darkness. In John 15:12 he stated that God himself gave his life as ransom for many. The biggest act of charity, there was no other solution for us, He died to give us endless life. The only love we practice is love ourselves, ourselves, and ourselves. Greed. WE are not ready to sacrifice ourselves to be able to give to others, and if we do sacrifice, we do so for ourselves to live in this excessive materialism, egoism madness in general, slaves of our body. With our system of what we call civilizing ourselves, we have no self control, and we made the world even poorer. We even destroyed the environment, and the sun became a destroyer to our body, a good lesson for us because we adore this flesh, which is an antichrist in itself. We definitely are not imitating Jesus for sure, because he massacred his flesh for our sake and to give us a message which means you either destroy your flesh( metaphorically)which is full of desires, or he destroys you. I am not going to list how love is expressed with regards to our body, because it is outrageous. Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Also in John 12 :25The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. You said that Truly, deeply, ‘The greatest thing one will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. The greatest love is when you love without expecting love in return, that’s why he said love your enemy, first it’s because you will never expect it, and second you will never know if the kind of love you’re receiving, is honest and equivalent to what you give. Jesus loved and knew that he was not going to be loved as much, that’s why he suffered at the Gethsemane, because he saw that for many he‘s going to die for nothing as well, so he had to suffer even for that as well. I may be a bit harsh but I can’t see it different.
Love ,love, and honest love in Jesus to you Jill and all.

Jill says:
Dearest Beloved Charles,
Yes, ‘greatest love is when you love without expecting love in return’ the highest Love is free of all expectation.
But Love is not Suffering. Love never suffers. Love is forever free of suffering. Certainly, Jesus’ body suffered, but who he is was never touched by the physical suffering of the body.
Love cannot be thought and the word ‘love’ polluted by thought—most people think of love in an outward sense—’I am loving something or someone.’ Or as you point out ‘I am loving in order to get something in return.’
This movement of mind is disguised by the word Love, but it is not really Love—the Divine Love—the pure untouched Love that you are at the core of your being.
But Jesus demonstrates that Love is fundamentally who you are at the core of your being. Love is never ending and unmoving. Jesus is Love. You are Love. God is Love. A Holy Trinity.
And as always, Jesus is asking your to discover this Truth for yourself by Loving yourself as Love, which naturally Loves your neighbor as your own self — LOVE.
It is so difficult to perceive what Jesus is pointing to, because you have an idea of who you are and who someone else is. But if you drop all of these ideas and turn your attention inward you have an opportunity to see the unmoving Love that is within you at the core of your being.
When you stop and look. Who is looking through your eys? What is looking through your eyes—What is that presence? When you stop and see…really see without seeing….you will know that you are this amazing endless Love. Look and see : )
When you deeply know that your are Love. It is simply natural to love everyone as your own self—the same endless LOVE! Wow!
Sending You Love and Support
Always!

Charles says:
Dearest Jill,
I’ll be practical:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’and Love your neighbor as yourself.
Heart, soul, and Mind.
There are two kinds of love, Spiritual, and Carnal.
Spiritual Love depends first through our heart, then it will be transferred to our Soul and then to our mind in order to pass it onto others through our body. Now if a person looks at a woman and he is attracted to much by her beauty, without realizing he is already jumping from hearth to body, and like that he is not respecting GOD, because he is only interested in the flesh and in what he is going to receive, from the other hand if he looks for a simple woman throughout, and he is only interested in meeting a woman to discover her inwardly he will be searching GOD first, because he will be looking into her soul which belong to GOD and in his heart only comes in if that particular woman fits his character within him which again is GOD. The only real spiritual love which a person is able to exercise is when he sacrifice himself enter the narrow gate and suffer from the material beauty and concentrate on the spiritual GOD beauty which never ends, from the other hand carnal beauty which belong to Satan collapses because it would be egoistically concentrated and it will soon become boring.
GOD’S LOVE FIRST

Ramaiah Mannipalli says:
Hi Gill,
I am Rev. Ramaiah, a Southern Baptist Minister in India. I have been reading you blogs for the past two years. I felt to converse with you but I do not have such capability here. However, I never ceased to read your blogs and pray for you. Your latest blog on ‘Satsang’ is really thought provoking. I am happy that you named the conference as Satsang.
Often we feel sad to see thousands of Americans flocking to Indian gurus for spiritual enlightenment while majority of Indians are in search of the Truth outside the Hinduism itself. The Hindu gurus in India and abroad are fooling the gullible devotees with discourses naming as ‘Satang’ ‘Samadhi’ ‘‘Shuddi,’ etc. as if the title has some supernatural power.
Now your forthcoming spiritual conference naming as Satsang would open the eyes of millions to know the Truth and associate with the Truth.
May the Lord bless this conference

Dearest Beloved Rev. Ramaiah,
Jesus says to Pilate, “For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the Truth, listens to my voice.” To this Pilate asks, “What is the Truth?” And Jesus remained Silent.
Silence is Satsang. Silence is the Deepest Truth–Silence Supreme–the eternal presence of God–Love without end! This was is the core teaching of Jesus and its endless grace was demonstrated by Ramana Maharshi–who teaching lives in the eternal Silence of God.
In Deep Gratitude

Dear Jill,
I have just returned from a weekend away to breathe in the Sea ir and to meet with my children, cousins, down to my own great gndSon. It was a lovely BBQ in the garden of my daughter’s bungalow by the sea - to see all the children/gnd-children and gt.gnd son mixin, laughing and playing together - ranging from 30 years down to 7 yrs and the older ones just leaving them alone to enjoy themselves without any restrictions. It was a blessed gathering which included my terminal ill niece and her family.
That was indeed LOVE.
My prayers go out to the young girl, Eva,(and her family) and the beautiful comfort of Love that she felt and expressed for everyone.
This world and Planet Earth needs our Love - the more it is being contaminated with sadness (greed for power).
Prayers and Love for Peace and Grace of the Lord is very much in need, especially now.
Thank you for always reminding us to LOVE as Jesus Loves the world.
Love and Light always to you and yours and to everyone of your readers.
