Redemption
Jesus says, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”(Luke 21:28)
Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, is well known. Barrack Obama and John McCain are even more widely recognized around the world. All of three of them have very different personalities and political beliefs, yet in spite of their differences the common thread that binds all three together is their devotion to serving others. In the context of the ongoing Presidential race these men recently came together to discuss the one man who was endowed with the infinite Grace to transform the lives of everyone living and dead. This man has touched more lives throughout the centuries than any other single human being and you know him as Jesus Christ. Of course, Jesus extremely well known; but there is another servant of God who is not as well known whose life is devoted to revealing the deepest Truth. She was born into the world as Antoinette Robinson, but a spiritual master named her Ganga-ji after the most sacred river of India – the Ganges. It is her voice that opened my heart to the deepest Truth that Jesus eternally reveals and it is her voice that offers you an opportunity to recognize something much deeper than the thought provoking conversation that unfolded between Rick Warren, John McCain, and Barrack Obama.
Jesus says, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28) Redemption is atonement. It lives in the moment of remembering the Truth of who you are beyond the limitations of your physical form. Truth is an illusive and often misunderstood word. In a YouTube video entitled What Does Your Life Stand For? Gangaji asks, “Do you know the Truth? That is the question. It is the hardest question of a lifetime.” Fundamentally, Rick Warren was asking both Presidential candidates – What is the Truth? What does your faith in Christ really mean? What does your life stand for? When you stop for a moment and contemplate these questions you have a rare opportunity to discover the deepest Truth for yourself. How can these questions reveal an even deeper understanding of the teaching of Jesus Christ?
Rick Warren asked Barrack, “Everybody has a world view, a Buddhist, a Baptist, a Secularist and an Atheist – everybody’s got a world view…People want to know what your world view is. The first question is Christianity, now you have no doubt about your faith in Jesus Christ. What does that mean to you? What does it mean to you to trust in Jesus Christ and what does that mean on a daily basis? What does that really look like? Barrack responded by saying, “As a starting point. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and I am redeemed through him. That is a source of strength and sustenance on a daily basis. And it means that those sins that I have on a fairly regular basis hopefully will be washed away.”
Rick Warren asked the exact same question to John McCain. His immediate short answer reflects the stark difference between these two men. John McCain simply responded, “It means I am saved and forgiven. And our faith encompasses not just the United States, but the world.” Simplicity and arrogance are words that describe John McCain. Humility and thoughtfulness are words that describe Barrack Obama. One is not necessarily better than the other, both men have very different political beliefs and expressed very different perspectives on everything from abortion, same sex marriage, war, and the existence of evil, but this surface conversation overlooks a much deeper question: What does redemption mean? What does it mean to be saved? Does Jesus save you or something else? Who is it that is saved?
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”(Matthew 26:27-29) Forgiveness of sin is redemption, which simply means to turn your attention to God – The Truth of who you are at the core of your being. The crucifixion and resurrection was a demonstration of the eternal nature of this Truth. Who you really are at the core of your being can never taste death. Redemption is knowing this is the Truth beyond any concept of Truth. It is mind falling into heart – a cross over in consciousness – drinking it new with you in my Father’s kingdom!
This gives rise to a much deeper question – What does the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus stand for? What is the “blood of the covenant” really mean? Why would he want you to eat his body and drink his blood? Through the Grace of drinking his blood and eating his body, you are surrendering into the infinite Grace of God. Merging with this Grace is like you are a raindrop falling into the ocean! How much closer to Jesus can you get than ingesting him? What is contained in the blood running through your veins? What is the source of your heartbeat? In contemplating these questions, you have the rare opportunity to see That which was present in Jesus, is still present and is within you right now! As Jesus reveals, “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20) Whoa!
Gangaji says, “We have to really be willing to tell the hard Truth about the power we have to corrupt the most pure, the most sublime recognition of Truth – reality of oneself. And you can’t do it through the mind, because the mind gets very busy being involved in damage control – as you know. There is a question you can ask though and you can deeply examine it and ruthlessly and often painfully tell the Truth about it. And that is: ‘What does my life stand for?’ ‘What is my life standing for?’ ‘What has it stood for?’ ‘What is the deepest call for my life to stand for?’ Then all you have to do is really look very carefully, ruthlessly, to see. And you will see if you are speaking words of Truth and living a life of a lie. You will see that, and it is a painful seeing and the mind will immediately will make the lie itself some form of truth. So it’s a rigorous truth telling.” [As Jesus illuminates,“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” (John 8:31)] (Please watch the video above)
Gangaji continues, “And as we are all macrocosms of each other. What has to be examined, really has to be examined, is profoundly uncomfortable. It’s the rapist, the killer, the child molester, the facist, the Nazi, the abuser of power, the false teacher. It’s all alive within us. [As Jesus reveals, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.” (Matthew 15:16-20)]
Gangaji explains, “And if we are willing to face that and actually meet that however it being reflected in this life time, this particular life time, then there is the possibility of what Christians call redemption, but true redemption, like Christ’s redemption on the cross. To in an instant or an hour or a week or a year, or a life time, however long it takes, bear the pain that we have caused as human beings in the name of Truth, in the name of Love, in the name of Service. [As Jesus dieing on the cross demonstrates, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) Forgiveness is meeting this suffering on the deepest level. As Jesus illuminates, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”(Matthew 25:40)]
Gangaji reveals, “It is the bearing of that without indulging it, without indulging it without repressing it that then reveals a space for real inquiry, otherwise inquiry is just a layer on top, another way of escaping, a way of feeling good. And you know that and you know the nectar or that and the addiction of that and yet there is a call within you that wants the Truth or you wouldn’t be here, because you know I have nothing to teach you. I am not teaching you anything - really. I am inviting you to examine at the deepest level who you are and that begins at the most superficial level and in the willingness to see the most superficial there is a strength and a capacity to actually see deeper, and in that there is a strength and a bigger capacity to see deeper. [Jesus explains, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.” (Matthew 23:25-26)]
Gangaji reveals, “Until finally you are faced with seeing yourself as nothing at all. And that’s horrifying to the mind, because the mind’s job is to make you something. And this nothing at all is not something, it is not an enlightened something, it is not an awake something, it is not a happy something, it is nothing at all. And paradoxically that nothing at all is filled with bliss and fulfillment and satisfaction of the most profound level. [As Jesus illuminates, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11)]
Gangaji intimates, “You can tell the deeper truth. What do I stand for? Where is my allegiance? What does my life reflect? It is very simple then isn’t, I don’t mean as a whip, a Super Ego whip, ‘bad –you talked rudely to a sales clerk’ or ‘bad –you had a negative thought” not that at all. Much deeper, much closer to the bone. What does my life stand for? And this is standing up. We sit down we rest to get our strength so that we can stand up with the whole tsunami of human conditioning coming in our faces. Regardless of the experience of feeling or pain or bliss. It is all secondary. It is just to be able to stand up and say, ‘I stand for Truth., Whatever the out come: If I am shot for that, if I am burned, I am hated for that, if I am adored for that – ‘I stand for Truth.’ If I am abandoned by that. I am worshiped for that ‘I stand for Truth.’
Gangaji explains, “And this is the possibility for everyone in this room or you would not be here, I know that for a fact. This is the possibility of your life time. To really Rest in Truth and Stand for Truth In Truth as Truth. And to meet what every challenge appears, global challenge, national challenge, personal challenge…because you really are standing up in the face of all of human conditioning, all of human betrayal, all of human delusion, self aggrandizement, drama, abandonment, all of it, your are standing as the Buddha, as Christ. As every icon we have, had to stand and what great examples they are to us, but if we use them as something separate we miss what the possibility is as an ordinary human being and an ordinary life, to stand up extraordinarily.”
Jesus says, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world— to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” (John 18:37) Jesus is the Truth and he is a witness of the Truth. A witness is some who offers evidence after seeing or hearing something. What did Jesus see? What did he hear? He is looking at something and he is the presence that looks. What is that presence? Jesus is simply asking you to follow his gaze inward into the depths of your own heart. He stands in eternity bearing witness to the Living Truth that is alive within you right now in this moment! Wow!
Jesus says, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23) Jesus stood for Truth. Jesus stands for Truth. Jesus is Truth. And right now in this moment he is asking you to stand up for Truth!
Redemption lives in the deeper recognition – that you have the capacity, regardless of the circumstances of your life, to stand up extraordinarily for Truth as Truth!!!!
What does your life stand for?

Dearest Beloved Albert,
Confusion live in the mind. It has nothing to do with the Truth that Jesus came to earth to reveal. Jesus illuminates, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21 - KJV) There is no confusion in That!
You are right: God is not the author of confusion - the human mind is! Look into your heart and you will know the Truth and it is the Truth that
shall set you free.

Dear Jill,
I saw the reply of one albert who i believe is one distraught christian who has a belief that is so fundamental that his mind is closed to the wonderment of the changing times including religion.
I am a catholic from the only predominantly christian country in the far east and we here welcome debates to whatever belief we have here there are many and very diverse. sorry about that and he has the temerity to view this very informative site and yet comment on the negative.
I have posted my comments here before by your invitation and here i am again posting my insight to your beautiful writing and insights into what is happening to the world. true enough we have people in this world though not so famous as the likes of j. krisnamurthi or gangaji or world famous pastors but the truth is love reign supreme.
I have commented on love in one of your writings and you said that it is really very difficult to love or in that context again true but we are admonished by christ jesus to love one another and to care for each other but how difficult it is to do that especially with wars occurring elsewhere like our own conflict in mindanao, philippines where the muslims are seeking a juridical entity to themselves as ethnic domain.
But in all of these said and done, i believe and i think that you do that we are existing here on earth (my own perception) to be educated to learn and to pay for all the bad deeds we did and for some relief to reap the good things we have done.
I say these because it is my belief that we have lived this life in the past i mean not in the near past but from a long time ago i mean also the soul not the physical life. you have been watching stuff on oprah and one dr. something hypnotized a famous dr. oz who believes in science as a medical doctor to experience things in the parasychology.
I would want your view on this on your next writings if you are a believer in reincarnation and christ himself was brought out from death on the third day to continue his works so to speak of unifying people and sometimes scary coz he says that he did not come to give peace but to cause war amongst brothers as father against son and the like.
I may be out of sync in this but experiencing love is the good of all not on the carnal love but that of brotherly love which is utopic of course giving alms is giving love to the needy but self serving too as a do good feeling so when do we experience the true love that jesus is telling us please educate me on this
thank you.
with brotherly love

Dearest Andy,
Yes, a closed mind does close you off from the ‘wonderment of the changing times including religion.’ It is an amazing wonder that occurs every moment of every single day - Grace is always unfolding.
When you are willing to let the arrow of the omniscient Love of God pierce your heart - it opens you to such a profound depth, that all that is seen is the this amazing GRACE. This HUGE LOVE that holds everything! Truly, this is the Love Jesus came to reveal.
It does take a certain amount of courage. A certain amount of responsibility. A certain amount of faith and trust - to be willing to Love to this depth. This Love transcends what we know as religion and is primarily why people like Albert become upset. It is not the simple - check the box ‘I am saved’ message that is propagated throughout Christianity. There is little responsibility in that nor is there a deeper understanding or responsibility to apply his teaching in every day life.
Albert’s comment is a great example of how closed and mean-spirited the human intellect can be. It demonstrates how far away from Jesus, fundamentalist ideas can lead you - this is the false prophet that leads so many into darkness, even in the name of Jesus - this is so heartbreaking to me!
Truly, thoughts are the source of all conflict and war. War is a thought in the extreme! Love only lives in your heart and transcends these limiting and closed ideas.
Simply, the deepest teaching of Jesus is rarely discussed or even contemplated. Love. So simple, yet so difficult for the mind to grasp!
Love is freedom. Truth is freedom. My focus is and continues to be on the Love and Truth that Jesus eternally reveals - which transcends Christianity! This Love cannot be contained by any church or doctrine of faith.
As Gangaji points out, many people are speaking words of Truth, but living a live of a lie. Ruthless honesty with yourself is requirement for freedom, a requirement for understand the Depth and Grace of Jesus and his infinite teaching of Light! IT IS A REQUIREMENT FOR TRUE REDEMPTION!!!!!!!!!
As Gangaji points out, “We have to really be willing to tell the hard Truth about the power we have to corrupt the most pure, the most sublime recognition of Truth – reality of oneself. And you will see if you are speaking words of Truth and living a life of a lie.”
What does your life stand for? This is the deepest question that can reveal the ultimate Truth of who you are at the core! Incredible!
With the Deepest Respect…
Yours in Truth

In response to a an earlier correspondent today I would remind them that the Lord Jesus Christ is not threatened by anything, Nor should we be. If what is said echoes the truth that Jesus demonstrated to us and continues to demonstrate now, there is nothing to fear. Jesus is not a talisman or an good luck charm. He is alive in all being, and available everywhere.

Dear Jill,
It is really wonderful of you to start your blogs again despite the busy time you must have had in moving residences. What a way to return.
Gangaji has hit the right note with me and the mind. It is playing havoc with me at the present time. This is what the Lord jesus meant, I think, when he said we must be alert at all times. My mind tends to strike off at a tangent and sets my emotions into play.
I am praying all the time so that I may stop my mind from wandering into the wilderness of doubt and problems. But as one of your readers has pointed out, and what I believe, is that with Jesus Christ in our hearts we need have no fear - living moment to moment only and trusting in Him we will soon find a place in His heart.
As always your blogs are inspirational and thankyou for introducing Gangaji to me.

Gangaji is an amazing teacher of Truth. A true living master. I hope you have the great good luck to see her in person some day.
Yes, the mind can be very tricky and lead you in to doubt and confusion. And the simple truth is to stop your mind - find its source. As Jesus illuminates, “Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.” (Mark 9:50)
Yes, things are really challenging for me right now. I had to give up my dream of the retreat center…it was ruining me financially and was not offering the support that I need to continue this work.
I am very tired because of the move, but I know it was the right decision. Over time it will free me up to give more of myself in support of people around the world. I will also be helping Gangaji, who lives here in Ashland.

Hi Jill,
I haven’t commented often but I wanted to say welcome. I love the new site introduction and this recent blog.
I also wanted to add a quick reply to Albert comment. I know that he probably won’t read this but I felt the need to comment for the benefit of others who may read his comments.
While the KJV of the bible is indeed blessed and written beautifully, the majority of Christian theologians no agree that it is not the most accurate translations of the original texts.
It is not believed by many bible historians that King James I advised the translators to make sure that their translator conformed to the doctrines of the Church of England and that it confirmed the divine rights of the monarchy.
In addition, there are many words in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic which had no direct translation in 17th century English. So without the guidance of The Holy Spirit the KJV could also cause confusion.
I personally own 6 different translations and cross reference them. I do not purport to know which is the best translation I only believe that God means for the bible to be read and understand by all.
Whatever version of the bible you read seek wisdom from The Holy Spirit.
God Bless you all and again, Thank you Jill for all that you do.

Dear all,
Spirituall leaders are al throughout the world. That doesn’t at all imply to the fact that they are real spiritual. I feel it so sad that this lady Merle Antoinette had to travel to the land of India and attain the so called “Gangaji” status. And that too from a papaji. Well Jesus didn’t say that “After me there will be papaji’s and Gangaji’s who will enlighten you to attain something in life”. Words properly fixed with mellow sounding gramatical sentences makes any heart think. But what she speaks and what she has spoken… frankly This gangaji’s teachings are something that we already know but accept it when we hear from someones mouth in some kind of a sermon.
Sad to say we need to compare the teachings of our Lord with teachings of men/women.

Hardy Thomas says:
Deal all..
God doesn’t mean anything with the book called bible. Fraknly speaking its man own mistake that the word of god has been given to common man to be understood and used at his own will.
Christ our Lord dodnt give any importance to the book called Bible. Neither has he told us to follow it eevryday. Its a habit we have been imbibed with by the church and the society. The bible should have been actually not revealed to common man who is now using it as a sword to fight and raise his own cult.
It is also reference by many so called pundits and poojaris and papajis to translate it in their languages, speak it out in their speeches and thus win the hearts of many blind folds in this world
September 13th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Jill Warner says:
Dearest Thomas,
Good to hear from you! Jesus did not put any emphasis on the Bible simply because the Bible did not exist! Jesus always points to the deepest Truth beyond any meaning we might attempt to assign.
You say, ‘I feel it so sad that this lady Merle Antoinette had to travel to the land of India and attain the so called “Gangaji” status. And that too from a papaji.’
I say, “What is really deeply sad is the Gangaji was raised as a Christian who deeply loved and still loves Jesus. Why is this sad? Simply, Christian churches and teaching in the majority of cases do not reveal the amazing depth of Jesus and his infinite teaching of light. For Gangaji and myself, it took the Grace of two enlightened master named Ramana and Papaji to reveal That! In this context, this is is not sadness, but JOY beyond belief!
You continue by saying, ‘Well Jesus didn’t say that “After me there will be papaji’s and Gangaji’s who will enlighten you to attain something in life.’
I say, “Neither Papji or Gangaji preach or teach attainment of ’something’ in life; neither did Jesus. All point to the deepest Truth that is alive within your own heart. As Jesus illuminates, “Where your treasure is there will your heart be also.”
What is even more interesting about this is the question - What does your life stand for? What is the Truth? Very interested in hearing your perspective on That!
Jesus says, “If a blind man leads a blind man both will fall into a pit.” Open your eyes and look where Jesus is pointing!
Always this Amazing Grace…

Dear Jill, I was about to mention to Hardy that Jesus did read from the Holy texts that were kept in the Temple; BUT apart from ‘preaching/teaching’ in the Temle, he brought a lot of dangerous criticism on himself when he went out and preached, healed and lived amongst the poor(spirited), sick(dis-eased) people who wre never awakened to the Truth of what life in the physical world was meant for - simply to experience all the good and bad things and by using our own will, which we were blessed with, to syphon out for ourselves - from the teachings of Jesus (who had/has the Christ consciousness in Himself) and so turn around and follow the ‘narrow path’ to enlightenment/awakening - then we too may successfully perform the miracles that He did - after all, and the Bible does not make this very clear we are firstly spirit - then in our physical bodies with little egos. Our true purpose is to experience the physical / material world and then learn by our own awakening, or from the papaji’s, Gangaji,s Bhuddas, Ascended Masters, Angels, Lightworkers, Lightbringers, so many who are working amongst us to help us and point us in the direction of Light, Unconditional Love, Peace and harmony to ease us back Home to Spirit, our true source and being.
You were quite right, as one of the earlier readers has said, the Bible has been translated and mis-translated and also used to control and manipulate the vulnerable sheep who blindly follow. I say thank the Lord that he has awakened these great Lightworkers who help those of us who are seeking and need these who have been awakened, who are willing to help us along and not to keep us blind and in ignorance.
But i get the feeling that you are already on your spiritual path from the criticisms you have made. You show a curiosity that will lead you to the Light once you trust your inner self to go on searching, perhaps with a little help, either by the books they have written or by joining their retreats and courses on a personal basis. I wish you lots of Love and Light in your search.
The path of self-realisation, acceptance of our faults and weaknesses as humans, and gratitude for the gifts and blessings we receive helps to lead us onto that narrow path that jesus spoke of. On this path we have transformed and transmuted all earthly desires, greed, power, and our little egos. We submit ourselves entirely to Universal Law. That is the true Law and not what mere humans are struggling with down here on this Earth plane.
Go deep within yourself where your True Self is waiting for you to join and find unity, harmony, peace and enlightenment.
May the Grace of the Lord be with you and follow you always.
Jill, you lifted my spirits when you said that you had me in mind when you introduced Gangaji - thankyou. I am working virtually alone on my path, but not entirely as I have good guides, Angels, Jesus, Buddha and a Host of Ascended Masters and Goddesses. It is slow, because the human in me is distracted easily - but their stark truth has a way of bringing me up short and I am grateful to have such wonderful Spiritual guidance.
With Light and Love to you and yours and all your readers and to Gangaji
