Purpose of this Blog

Every day there are stories printed in news papers and broadcasted on TV that can bring our attention to the teaching of Jesus Christ. They can be painful and can seem impossible to bear. I do not write about these things to bring more strife into your life. Instead I am simply bringing them to the forefront of your consciousness in the context of the teachings of Jesus Christ so that together we can come to a deeper understanding of Jesus, what he taught, and why. It is from a deeper understanding that compassion naturally arises and peace can live within each and every one of us regardless of our religious beliefs.
I do not subscribe to a fundamentalist view of Jesus. Fundamentalism by its very nature provides a very narrow view of scripture. More
